RFTW IOWA COORDINATOR - MARLA BRUNDIES
Vision and Mission for
RUN for the WALL
and the
IOWA POW/MIA RUN
Mission Statement: To promote healing among Vietnam veterans and their families and friends, to call for an accounting of all Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action (POW/MIA), and to honor the memory of those Killed in Action (KIA).
Philosophy: We strive to maintain a safe, supportive and private atmosphere in which all participants can reflect and heal on their journey to the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. in the hope that they can return home to a new beginning.
Goals: To guide the participants safely across America. To educate future generations as to the importance of accountability in wartime actions emphasizing that no one should be left behind. To participate in Rolling Thunder in support of their demand for government accountability for POW/MIAs.
Run For The Wall is not just a motorcycle event, its a mission. Its special, not like anything else you have ever been involved in. You will become part of the Run For The Wall family, with family members from all over the United States, Europe, Canada, and Australia. Join us in this mission to meet friends, and support a very good cause, that of the POW/MIA. You don't have to ride a motorcycle to participate, some members drive chase trucks, or bring motor homes or cars. The important thing is to join the cause...And Please, Never Forget!
Come meet with us or ride with us across Iowa to show support for those who can't...

Please try to confirm participation by 5/1/02. I need to provide an approximate participant count to food providers, vendors, restaurants, camping facilities, police escorts, site hosts, etc. Let me know where you will meet us, how far you will be accompanying us, if you will be riding a motorcycle, if you can assist as a road guard or support vehicle, and if you will be camping or are in need of motel accommodations in Omaha or Davenport. Thanks!
